Art Gallery Clothing-Since 1996
In 1996 East London Mods Alex Banks and Christopher Lord formed the Art Gallery DJ Collective - featuring Lady Michelle, Flaz, Cess and ex-PPQ DJ Graeme Very - to spin a mix of 60's Soul, Beat and Psych.

Their debut night was the Beat Bubble Ball at Chinatown speakeasy The Clinic. They followed this up with a stint guesting at Paul Hallam's Popcorn night at the 100 Club on Oxford Street.

In 1997 Art Gallery returned to the Clinic and for the next five years ran the now-legendary Lordy Lord! - a club night famous for its top tunes, and for being hot, sweaty and packed to the rafters every month. Check out Noonday Underground's 'London' promo video on You Tube for a taster of how the club was back then!

Art Gallery launched their clothing range in 1999. The rest is history.

the Art Gallery AW 2011/12 collection is here! A range of neat Modernist pieces including shirts, button through polos and knitwear; accents of burgundy partnered with navy and off-white, definition with clean stripes, checks and sharp collars.

The Lane, inspired by The Small Faces with distinctive features, is your perfect staple for the Winter months, merino wool delivers a flawless fit that drapes softly. This piece gives a nod to the past whilst taking the style forward with rib cuffs and an all-round tidier shape. Choose the subtle grey or a darker shade for a stronger look.

If you want to keep it real sharp step out in the Stewart long sleeve shirt available in three colourways, with a refined check, button down collar with back box pleat and darts for a trim fit. Match with cotton trousers and driving shoes in a tone close to the overlap check.

For a more dramatic style, add a splash of colour with the Bullfrog in Red with its short sleeves and larger check. Team with Sta Prest trousers or go for a more casual look with classic blue jeans.

In a style that would have graced the likes of The Beatles, Stones and Small Faces, the Wapping is a timeless button down shirt in needle cord, available in Biscuit, Navy Blue and Black.

If you want to look real dapper, our Steve collared cardigan delivers pure sixties cool. Influenced by the untouchable and ultimate Mod, this stylish cardigan comes in five colourways including Off White exclusive to artgalleryclothing.co.uk.

Get full on rock n roll decadence with our Jones roll neck in soft merino wool. Be King of the Beats in Black for that slick beatnik cool or play it down with the Navy for a more casual feel.

Another wardrobe essential is our George knitted polo with snappy contrast inserts that add a crisp finish to your outfit. For striking charm go for the Navy or for effortless suave styling sport the Black.

Keep warm this Winter with our smart threads for your wardrobe. Hope you love the collection as much as we do at Indi Menswear!
